You can play private matches against friends and family by navigating to the 'Leagues' menu and tapping on 'VS Friend'.
Then both you and your opponent must write the same room name and search for the match. Be sure to stagger the matchmaking slightly (i.e. one of you start matchmaking, wait a few seconds, then the other starts searching).
If this doesn't work, check these few things:
- Ensure you are both playing on the same version by checking your settings menus and looking at the version number at the bottom of the window. One or both of you may need to download an update from the store page.
- Ensure you are both playing from the same region. If one of you is using a VPN, you may need to switch it off. Alternatively, if you are trying to play from different countries, you may need to use a VPN to get matched.
- Double check that your internet is connected and matchmaking is working correctly by playing a standard Leagues match.
